On April 12th, the GAC TECH DAY 2024 event with the theme of “Technology Vision” was held at the GAC GROUP Research Institute. This technology day focuses on cutting-edge technologies in smart electric vehicles, launching the domestically leading imageless pure visual intelligent driving system and the high safety and large capacity all solid state power battery that achieves key technological breakthroughs. In addition, the battery has maintained stable performance under extreme conditions such as needle piercing, cutting, -78 ° C dry ice environment, and 90 ° C high-temperature hot water immersion. It does not experience thermal runaway under mechanical abuse conditions such as nail piercing and cutting, significantly improving the safety of the vehicle.

In terms of battery cell capacity, GAC GROUP has successfully established a full process manufacturing process for all solid state power batteries by attempting over a hundred material and process schemes, achieving the manufacturing of large-sized multi-layer stacked all solid state battery cells with a capacity of up to 30Ah, far exceeding the current industry’s highest level (10Ah-15Ah), laying the foundation for the application of automotive grade all solid state power batteries.
